Q&A
For your convenience, the most common customer questions are below. Please reach out directly through our Contact Us page for more details.
Q: What is the format for a Workshop?
A: The traditional full day workshops are seven (7) hours of interaction with your teams or choruses. During the time, it will include singing (of course!) to showcase and experience selected roles and activities in action. You will be part of the rhythm of this new style of meetings. There will be several Q&A times to review ideas and time with a “How do we start?” processes. It will also include a bit of science, leadership ideas, and discussion about current attitudes of valuable time usage. And, we’ll have fun!
The workshops can also be paired with other Supercharging segments offered by Paul Ellinger, customized to fit.
Q: Can we discuss our situation(s) prior to booking a Workshop?
A: Absolutely! Call me and we can discuss what issues you see and your membership sees, what you’ve tried before, what you’ve heard about the workshops (or not), timelines, minimum requirements, when you can start (immediately). All that can be used to customize pieces of the workshop if required.
Q: Are there materials for reference?
A: Yes. Reference materials for Roles, Activities, etc. are being updated from the original 21st and 7th materials, and will be available online (previously presented in notebook form). Some articles and quotes will find themselves there too, as time goes on. There will be additional questions to explore and cheat sheets to help you develop your own ideas. And if you send in new methods you’ve invented, We’ll add those, too, with credit.

Q: What happens after a Workshop?
A. Besides new excitement? We want to know your questions, results, frustrations, new ideas. If you decide there’s more specific interest to be developed, I am interested in that, too.
Q: What if our leadership team requests significant prior meeting time?
A: If you’d like, consulting time can be arranged, during a board or special meeting, to field questions, get buy-in, discuss whatever it is that might be holding you back.
Q: What does this have to do with Paul Ellinger’s work?
A: Paul and Beverly have very similar ideas about what it takes to promote and then keep barbershop in the forefront, and make it accessible, engaging, and exciting for everyone. In addition, they both strongly believe in experiencing new ideas, and adding activities that keep it fresh. Paul’s workshops have been very well received, and his Supercharging your Chapter gives ideas and methods about getting potential members “in the door” to your chapter meetings, and making the hobby more public, while Supercharged CACM Workshops ensure the meeting times are worthy of repeat visits, and hopefully a commitment to membership. Combining the two, or optioning Wave Box Singing with Paul, re-energize your chapter and put you on the path to greater membership and better meetings, both which contribute to a more satisfied experience.
